Introduction to CarpeDiem Mita

「A martial art that makes you athletic and strong in a safe and professional way」

The impression when it comes to martial-arts and dojos is that it can be intimidating, filthy, or dangerous to most people. Nevertheless, a combat sport, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, remains one of the fastest growing arts in the world regardless of gender and age. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, or BJJ, has been rapidly gaining popularity among countries in America and Asia considering its safety, practicality, artistry, and elegance while maintaining its professionalism as a combat sport.

Strong and safe Jiujitsu

Grappling is the main attacking system in Jiujitsu with absolutely no strikes at all. Rather than just strength and power, grappling focuses on timing and technical perfections. Compared to striking-based combat sports, which rely on physical strength and stamina, Brazilian Jiujitsu is a much safer martial art to hone your strength and is suitable for all ages and genders. Carpe Diem Mita has gathered numerous practitioners coming from various countries and wide range of age groups training and practicing in our dojo.

More than Jiujitsu

At Carpe Diem Mita, we strive to become stronger and to create a community, regardless of your nationality, age or gender, that everyone can have a friendly relationship with each other. Brazilian Jiujitsu is often called a "club activity" for adults.

Seize the day

Carpe diem is a Latin aphorism meaning "seize the day". We've always been thinking about the true meaning of "seize the day" and acting on it. There are people who are concerned about their age, their exercise experience, and many other things. However, the people at Carpe Diem who suffered from their previous anxiety and uncertainty had chosen to move forward and now they are all enjoying the present.  It's now or never.  If you think the same way, there are people with the same thought in the dojo waiting for you to join. No need to worry. Seize the day!  Ready to take a step forward to join us at Carpe Diem Mita and to meet a whole new you?

Corona Virus Announcement

From December 1st we will no longer allow members to train outside of their home dojo. No visiting will be allowed.
In addition, our instructors will not train outside of their home dojo. Nor will they teach students from other dojos.
